Bands with Animal Names
Lately I've noticed a trend in band names, which is that alot of current bands have animal names. In the 60's you had The Beatles, The Monkees, The Animals, Steppenwolf, The Turtles, The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield etc., but after that animal names went out of style for a period of time. Now they are making a comeback especially in the indie music scene. You can even catch a few blogs using animals in their names.
I've made a list of all the indie bands I can think of currently using animal names, feel free to add to the list in your comments if you choose.
From this list, it appears that the animals Wolf, Bear, and Bird are the most popular animals for band names. To make this post even more zoological (that means relating to animals for all of you who haven't yet passed fifth grade) I'm posting a few animal-titled-tracks.

Closing question - What is the next band name trend going to be? If you ask me I say fruit. It's worked for Apples In Stereo, Lemonheads, The Cranberries, Appleseed Cast, and The Smashing Pumpkins. ...coming up next we have the debut single from The Cantaloupes....
