Trashcan Sinatras

A seriously good Scottish band I've been listening to lately is Trashcan Sinatras. This band has been around for quite a while and they've developed a fantastic sound, layering acoustic guitars over each other to create lush, complex arrangements. Throw in the occasional horns and strings and you have some of the catchiest pop/rock you'll hear. Their latest album, Weightlifting, is available here.

Trashcan Sinatras are also one of the most generous bands I've ever seen, when it comes to online sharing. There is a huge downloads section on their site of rare/live MP3's.

Its so nice to see the Trash Can Sinatras getting props. I've loved them for a very long time. Circling the circumference is a great song too. In fact that whole album is excellent.

I totally agree with michelle - these guys have been around for far too long without any attention.

I saw them play a great (but very short) show in Ottawa last year and it was worth the four or so years of them having no album, no label, but finally, a real release. Their older stuff is super too!
