The Grammies aka "The U2 Show"

I couldn't call myself a loyal U2 fan if I didn't post about this huge occasion for the band. Although "How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb" isn't their best album, I'm glad it won and that Green Day won Best Record. What can you say, I guess I just love Rock Music.

To recap:
Album of the Year, Song of the Year & Rock Performance (Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own), Rock Song (City of Blinding Lights), and Rock Album. Throw that in with the three they won for Vertigo last year and you get eight awards total for "Atomic Bomb".

So the real reason I'm making this post is that I came across these files from last nights show and I had seen a couple of requests for the Mary J. Blige/U2 performance.

MP3 U2 (feat. Mary J. Blige) - One (Grammys 2006)
MP3 U2 - Vertigo (Grammys 2006)

Thanks to Joe Ahorro for putting all this together, hope you don't mind me sharing it.

And let us hope that Bono will (finally) donate some of his many millions to the poor bastards to set an example for the rest of us.

Yahoooooo u2! it's due time they got some Grammys (not that they need 'em to prove they still rule).

I hope you're being sarcastic, Steve. U2 has won every grammy its been nominated for like 5 years in a row. (excluding just a couple).

dfens, what are you talking about? That's the most ignorant statement I've ever heard.

Hi, can anyone share the secret of how to download this as mp3 or video clip?! This is without doubt one of the great rock performances of all time but I have tried about 20 links over the last week or so and they all fail - I get codec errors or all sorts of other dramas (normally I can download fine) so there is some annoying dodgy crap going on PLEASE HELP!!

hey fdens

Bono isn't asking us to donate out of our pockets, he's asking the 'rich' nations to donate.

although i'm all for helping aftrica, but what about the poor and hungry in your own cities and neighbourhoods?

just a thought, not attacking anyone.
