Raising The Fawn

I'm going to be posting about a lot of new music beginning today. I've been listening to some up-and-coming bands that I think everyone will enjoy and I'm starting with Raising The Fawn. They are a three-piece band from Canada that will appeal to the Wilco fan in anyone. John Crossingham (who most recently has played with Broken Social Scene) started the band with some friends nearly a decade ago. Through three full-lenth releases, Raising The Fawn has evolved into a fully mature and satisfying band. Could they be Canada's next success story? We'll have to wait and see.

If you want a heads up about Canada's next success story, you need to check Cuff the Duke. They are at SXSW this week and are worth checking out for their clean sollid sounds.
