Let Me Introduce You To I'm From Barcelona

Who am I kidding? I'm sure with all the Pitchfork Hullabaloo that you've at least heard of the band that made a hundred bloggers all say "The Swedish Polyphonic Spree" at once. I just got a hold of the I'm From Barcelona's debut CD appropiately titled Let Me Introduce My Friends, and it's pretty spectacular. The song "We're From Barcelona" is the first song you'll want to hear from this band, and you'll probably love it or hate it right from the start. Personally, I love it. It's incredibly uplifting and it begs for you to join in singing (try it, it's therapeutic). The message of the song is that we're ALL from Barcelona which you can either try to take at face value or turn into an anthem for world peace, or something.

Moving on, "Ola Kala" is probably the cheesiest, most bombastic song on the album and since that's really's what the album is all about to me, it works perfectly. The songs starts off with fast paced singing over beatbox drums and then unexpectedly the chorus kicks in with 26+ voices in the background and lines like "Don't be afraid" and "It's going to be OK". Go into this album expecting synths, banjos, choruses, bells, whistles, guitars, and other random orchestration, and add in some extremely fun and memorable lyrics with spirit-rising melodies and you have what might be (according to the song "Rec & Play) your new favorite album. Forget about your problems and stress and put Let Me Introduce My Friends on for full escapism.

dude, i'm from barcelona does indeed rock (though you should have mentioned "treehouse"). using HUGE photos that slow down the page on even a lightening fast internet connection does not rock. resize in photoshop, not with your code. c'mon.
